Thank you to everyone who turned out for our amazing hike in the Aqueduct area and our fundraiser at the Mancos Brewery last Saturday. The hike was a lot of fun - we all made new friends and the flowers were going crazy! The fundraiser was a blast! Great music, great food, great beer, and a GREAT crowd made for an amazing time. Thanks to Mancos Brewing Company for hosting and to our wonderful sponsors including Osprey, High Desert Outdoors, Kokopelli, Beehive and Zuma Natural Foods.
Our next business meeting is this Tuesday, May 28 7pm at the Mancos Library. Come join us to learn about what we've been up to and to volunteer to make MTG even better! Come join us for a day of FUN to raise awareness and funds for the Mancos Trails Group. Check out their trail projects and sign up for work days, listen to the music of Andrew Schumann and the Pete Giuliani Band, order from our special Beer/Food Pairing Menu, and enjoy time with your friends and fellow trail lovers! Come join the Mancos Trails Group (MTG) for a hike led by MTG Chair, Robert Meyer. We’ll hike 3–4 miles to gain an overlook of the proposed Bureau of Land Management’s 11.7 mile Aqueduct Trail System. It’s located just 1 mile northwest of Mancos.
The hike will be Saturday, May 18th and we’ll meet at the proposed parking lot on Road 39 at 10:30 a.m. See attached map and look for the MTG banner. Due to limited parking space carpooling is recommended. Meet 10:00 at south side of Boyle park in Mancos. Please be prepared and wear proper shoes and clothes. Long pants are suggested due to areas of dense brush. Bring your own snacks, lunch, sunscreen, sunglasses, and several liters of water. Mancos Trails Group will be the featured non-profit at WildEdge in Cortez on Tues 5/7. Come on out and support your local trails group!
