This is a classic single track trail that occasionally merges with the double track Aspen Loop Trail. It crosses forest roads frequently but is very easy to follow. I typically begin at the Upper Chicken Creek TH just across from Transfer Campground. During particularly wet times I will continue on 561 and catch the Morrison Trail about 2 miles beyond Transfer to avoid the thick mud that is typically present during spring. I typically will ride Morrison from Transfer campground to where it joins Bear Creek which is about 10 miles. The climb out of Fish Creek can be very brutal due to narrow loose singletrack. You will cross Lost Canyon and ride across Haycamp Mesa just before descending into Bear Creek. Be prepared as the riding is very slow and chunky at times and once you descend into Bear Creek you are committing yourself to a climb out or highway miles. Another ride I'll do occasionally is ride Morrison Trail to the Aspen Loop to the West Mancos Trail. This is a fantastic loop.
