Join us, Saturday May 21, at the Mancos Brewery!
The Mancos Brewery is hosting a special fundraiser for Mancos Trails Group. The event will feature live music (Bards in Between), a silent auction, and a special brew – Aqueduct Ale – made specially to celebrate the expansion of Mancos’ own Aqueduct Trail System. Festivities will run from 4 to 8 PM. Admission is $10, which the brewery is donating directly to Mancos Trails Group. A generous portion of the proceeds from each pint or can of Aqueduct Ale will be donated to Mancos Trails Group as well. SO DRINK UP!
Our silent auction will feature great items including Osprey packs, local art, gift certificates and more! We look forward to seeing you there!

Come celebrate the grand seasonal re-opening of the new Aqueduct Trail System! We’ve got four miles of completed trails to share with you and look forward to adding more this season - when construction is complete, we'll have 12 miles of new multi-use, non-motorized (plus class 1 ebikes) trail within biking distance of town. Join us at 11 am for the official Ribbon Cutting with volunteers on hand to answer questions and share maps of the new trails. Then at 11:30, we’ll head out for a group ride (hikers welcome also). After the ride, we'll move to the patio at Mancos Brewing Company for lunch and optional brews. All ages and levels welcome! For more information about the new Aqueduct Trail System including a downloadable map, links to an interactive map and trail descriptions, check out this page. And, if you missed it, there was a great article about the Aqueduct Trails and our ribbon cutting event in the Journal last week. Check it out here. Once again, Mancos Trails Group is excited to be getting our Mancos Spur Trail Adoption Program underway for 2022. Originally implemented in the summer of 2020 when our traditional group workdays were eliminated due to the pandemic, this program proved so popular that we are continuing it. As an adopter, you will be maintaining a 1-2 mile segment of the Mancos Spur Trail. You'll be able to visit your segment on your own schedule as often as you like, but we do ask that you commit to a minimum of two trail maintenance trips out to your segment each summer.
Not sure what the Mancos Spur Trail is? Not sure what it means to adopt a segment? You can read all about the trail here, and find answers to frequently asked questions here. More details are available under the Get Involved tab on our website, including
This is a really fun opportunity. It's a fantastic way to spend some time outdoors with family and friends, giving back to our trails. Plus you will be eligible to win great thank you gifts like Osprey packs at our Volunteer Appreciation event in the fall. Ready to adopt a segment of the Spur? Contact us at [email protected] and we'll get you set up. Spring is here and it's finally time for trail building to begin! Our first work day of the year will be all about renewing old acquaintances and making new friends. Join us on Saturday April 9 at 10am for burgers, socializing, and some trailwork too. We'll meet east of the Joe Moore Reservoir boat ramp which provides easy access to the Blue Jay Trail (directions below). In addition to some fun social time, we will review basic trail work skills, sharpen and repair tools to get them ready for the season, and pluck some rocks from the new Blue Jay Trail (if you've been on it at all this spring, you've probably noticed there are a LOT of loose rocks).
Note that if you're interested in adopting a segment of the Mancos Spur Trail, this is a great opportunity to brush up on your trail maintenance skills.
