On Friday, May 2nd, Southwest Colorado Cycling Association (SWCCA) trail crew member, Joe Green, was hit by a vehicle while riding in the bike lane in Cortez, CO. The driver of the vehicle was cited, but did not have insurance. Joe sustained multiple injuries including a traumatic brain injury. After over a month in the hospital Joe has returned home, but still has a long road to recovery. Let's show our local trail hero's how much we care! Lunch and drinks following the work. We look forward to seeing you Saturday, June 14 at 8:30am  There will increased horse use of the trails in the La Plata Mountains during this event. Please use proper trail etiquette and remember that horse riders have the right of way, so yield the trail. There routes will be marked with flagging, and will be removed following the ride. Please visit public lands with respect and do not remove the flagging.  |
